Orientation Digital Tool: Welcome To Weimar, Welcome to Bauhaus
A project for the International Office of the Bauhaus University of Weimar. This project aims to propose an effective design strategy to deliver complex information to a multicultural audience. In this case, all the requirements and procedures that international students need to follow when they arrive in Germany. The project intends to recognize how the principles of interface design and multimedia for learning could be applied in cross-cultural communication.
To carry out this project, it was developed an e-learning course aimed at international students of the Bauhaus Universität Weimar. The proposed design and didactical strategy explored the interactions between interface design heuristics, learning principles and cultural factors analysing a group of international students from five different nationalities registered at the Bauhaus University of Weimar.
This digital tool is used by the International Office since the Summer Semester 2017.
